It began with a sunset.

For years in Chicago, I watched how people dressed and walked into the stores of the brands they wore. I kept finding the same fracture: the pieces that fit well carried a design I did not want. The pieces with the design I wanted never fit. Nothing felt built for the person wearing it.

Then one evening in early May, I was watching the sunset from my high-rise when the name came. Ambous. It arrived whole, without effort, already the word for the thing I had been circling for years.

Trained at the Art Institute of Chicago, I started drawing the piece that was missing. A garment cut to feel tailored to the body it lives on. A design sharp enough to earn the fit. Every piece is built so the person wearing it is, in that same moment, promoting fearless ambition to the rest of the world.
